Introspection

My third CD “Modus vivendi”, “Way of life”, was released in November 2012. As the title suggests, improvising and composing enabled me time and again to bring my life in balance in this rapidly changing world. Focusing on events that touch me and turning them into music has a healing effect. The third CD goes deeper than my first two and is more classically oriented. Like the former CDs this CD also contains a theme with variations in which the guitar shows all its possibilities: “Eight”. I specialized in this during my education. This CD is very suitable for background music during meditation, yoga, relaxation, etc.

After the release of my first CD “Subdued passion” I eagerly went on composing for the 10-string guitar. I was inspired by persons who influenced my life or by events that deeply touched me. All these emotions found their way out through sound. Thus “Streams of Emotions” was born in February 2010. Water appeals to me: rivers, waves, the sea, splashing sounds. The powerful pictures on the inlay and the booklet of this CD are in line with my inner feelings: experiencing the healing nature of music, both to myself and to my audience.

My first CD, “Subdued passion”, was released in March 2008. In addition to Spanish and Latin tracks it contains my own compositions based on improvisations. Highlights are “Go with the flow”, dedicated to my father, “Memories”, in memory of my mother, and “Lullaby for Wolfje”, an improvisation for the birth of my godchild Wolfje. The CD was an immediate success and quickly sold out. The many positive reactions, especially on my own compositions, were a source of inspiration to further develop my musical talents.
